My name is Nicole, and I’m a born and raised Tennessean (albeit without a Southern accent, somehow) who has recently been transplanted to a small metropolis in “North” Texas in order to pursue my midwifery education.
Though I’m a student midwife who’s also interested in essential oils, massage, herbs, and other natural remedies, I’m far from being solely and wholeheartedly devoted to my studious pursuits…(Though I flatter myself that I make a fairly convincing mad scientist when the proper garb is donned. ;- )
In fact, I have more hobbies than I have digits, and more interests than I have time to pursue! Some of my interests follow along the classical feminine pattern: quilting, quilling, sewing, crochet, reading, music, dancing, etc…
But others deviate slightly from that path and are rather more along the active lines. Activities such as taekwondo, hiking, archery, canoeing, volleyball…(almost anything involving the outdoors, really) have always peaked my interest. (I just recently attempted to ride a rip-stick for the first time…and I actually quite enjoyed it!)
My parents taught me from an early age that it was never acceptable to be bored, and I hope I have learned that lesson well.
I love life, my family, and my creator, and am constantly reminded of how blessed I truly am!
